[04:39]<+camerongray> It's like he doesn't speak English!
[04:40]<+camerongray> Right - I'm going to have to rewrite this thing
[04:41]<@BC_Programming> haha
[04:49]<+camerongray> hmm - not sure about this new hunger mod on the server
[04:53]<@BC_Programming> is it at 1.7 yet
[04:56]<+camerongray> Nope
[04:58]<@BC_Programming> trying to rewrite my INIFile class as a FreePascal Unit
[05:00]<+camerongray> You're learning Pascal?
[05:00]<@BC_Programming> I already know pascal... from, years ago
[05:00]<@BC_Programming> needless to say I'm a tad rusty
[05:01]<@BC_Programming> I have the "programmers guide" from Turbo Pascal 6, lol
[05:02]<+camerongray> lol
[05:05]<@BC_Programming> mostly it's the best actual IDE aside from eclipse that I've found that runs on Linux
[05:06]<@BC_Programming> I mean, sure, I could technically use Delphi in Visual Studio 2008 now, but I mean that's not True Delphi/Pascal

[10:00]<+camerongray> What do you think of the new hunger mod on the servr?
[10:00]<+camerongray> server*
[10:00]<@BC_Programming> I haven't played on the server since the 1.7 update
[10:01]<@BC_Programming> can't be bothered to swap the jars
[10:02]<@jacky> back later

[10:08]<+camerongray> Ahh
[10:08]<+camerongray> Basically, It's a mod that means that you need to eat or you will die
[10:08]<+camerongray> Not sure if I like that idea
[10:09]<+camerongray> Especially since you have to manually check your hunger level with the command /hunger
[10:09]<+camerongray> So if you forget or don't know about it, you could just suddenly die
[10:10]<@BC_Programming> wow
[10:10]<+camerongray> Yeh - That's what I thought
[10:10]<+camerongray> Seems pretty pointles
[10:10]<+Mulreay> wowzers
[10:10]<+camerongray> pointless*
[10:11]<+camerongray> Hey Mulreay

[13:53]<Tux2> or give me the coordinates on the online map
[13:55]<+camerongray> getting
[13:56]<+camerongray> lol - Someone on the server has won a "Being Sly Award" - They broke the cobble generator and stacked sand around it to hide the damage :P
[13:56]<@BC_Programming> MWAHAHAHA
[13:56]<@BC_Programming> just figured out how to duplicate blocks with pistons...
[13:57]<+camerongray> How?
[13:57]<@BC_Programming> or more precisely I stumbled upon it
[13:57]<+camerongray> I know there is a bug when you have sand and gravel over a hole but could never get it to work
[13:57]<Tux2> lol...
[13:57]<+camerongray> What did you do?
[13:57]<Tux2> "Minecraft 1.7.2 contains a dupe exploit that will ruin your economy or could create other issues. We strongly recommend waiting for a fix from either Mojang or ourselves before updating."
[13:57]<@BC_Programming> heh
[13:58]<@BC_Programming> yeah I used to have 9 diamonds
[13:58]<@BC_Programming> now I can just plop a diamond block onto my duplication machine
[13:58]<Tux2> lol, pic please :D
[13:58]<+camerongray> How does it work?
[13:59]<@BC_Programming> I'm not really sure
[13:59]<+camerongray> Or how do you make it?
[13:59]<@BC_Programming> well I wasn't trying to make one... I accidentally duplicated some cobble when my attempt to make an elevator went awry
[13:59]<@BC_Programming> then I decided, hey... let's put an iron block there
[13:59]<+camerongray> Where did you put the pistons?
[14:00]<+camerongray> As in Picture
[14:00]<@BC_Programming> there are probably videos on youtube...

[14:06]<+camerongray> lol
[14:07]<@BC_Programming> it only started with one iron block, heh
[14:07]<Tux2> lol...
[14:08]<@BC_Programming> now I have a good stack or so of iron blocks
[14:08]<@BC_Programming> now to do the same with gold and diamond
[14:08]<Tux2> Well, I guess I'm waiting for another update before I update the server.
[14:08]<@BC_Programming> probably a good idea
[14:15]<Tux2> I looked through all the tweets to notch since 1.7.2... nothing mentioned about the dupe bug
[14:15]<Tux2> So I tweeted him the picture
[14:15]<@BC_Programming> cool
[14:16]<Tux2> lol, I don't tweet that often...
[14:16]<Tux2> I usually only look through notch's tweets anyways just to see what he's been up to...

[14:38]<+camerongray> My sand thing makes 2 blocks a second!

[16:50]<@BC_Programming> if I'm lucky Win7 will actually run faster than a horse in a glue factory, and worst case scenario I should at least get less comedic time estimates
[16:51]<+Mulreay> heh
[16:51]<@BC_Programming> also sprinkling a crapload of messageboxes and Exception handling all over
[16:51]<@BC_Programming> which as with the previous time I will have to go through and remove
[16:54]<@BC_Programming> ahh good old windows 7.. nice and familiar.. and there it is the "Starting MS-DOS" prom... hey wait wtf
[16:55]<@BC_Programming> had a floppy in the disk drive... it booted from that
[16:55]<@BC_Programming> of course now I'm confronted with the fact that I can't log in
[16:55]<@BC_Programming> at least it's running tolerably though
[16:56]<+Mulreay> floppy? How so?
[16:57]<@BC_Programming> floppy disk in my floppy drive...
[16:57]<@BC_Programming> I must have been checking some old disks I found and left in in there
[16:57]<@BC_Programming> yes my quad core has a floppy drive
[16:57]<+Mulreay> ahh, was wondering what you would be doing on a floppy
[16:59]<@BC_Programming> I will give this though, it's a lot easier to figure out what went wrong then it was with VB6 crap... at least now I can try to figure out the area it get's stuffed, whereas with the VB6 stuff it would just say "ActiveX Component cannot create object" as if that is supposed to mean a damned thing to me or in any way help me know which component couldn't create which object
[17:04]<@BC_Programming> ok it works fine on my win7 vm
[17:05]<@BC_Programming> I'll just say it requires win7
[17:05]<@BC_Programming> that's that problem solved then
[17:06]<@BC_Programming> I'm sure the vista VM just can't handle the rainbow excitement and toaster fun
[17:13]<@BC_Programming> haha.. my changes to the splash screen have utterly destroyed the way the intro music is supposed to play
[17:35]<+Mulreay> aaahhhh no matter what I do, this program will not stop telling me I'm on a trial
[17:35]<@BC_Programming> yeah they do that
[17:36]<+Mulreay> I'm done with it... I don't want it that much anyway... it's a RAM pirate
[17:37]<@BC_Programming> RAM pirate?
[17:37]<@BC_Programming> what is RAM
[17:37]<@BC_Programming> well I mean what is a RAM pirate
[17:37]<+Mulreay> Sorry I made that up on the spot
[17:37]<+Mulreay> It takes a lot of RAM
[17:38]<@BC_Programming> ahhh
[17:38]<@BC_Programming> that is something I always have plenty of these days
[17:38]<@BC_Programming> 8GB here and 4GB on my laptop... yep things are swell
[17:38]<@BC_Programming> unless I have to work in a VM on Vista
[17:38]<+Mulreay> The idea being that it starts and starts hunting memory and takes it without being bothered.. just hunts and takes
[17:39]<@BC_Programming> which I may have only given 512MB, that would explain why it was about as speedy as fat kid on his way to exercise school
[17:39]<+Mulreay> lol
[17:40]<@BC_Programming> can't remember if I get paid this week or next
[17:40]<@BC_Programming> will put pony vids on my MP3 player just in case it is so I have something to do while waiting for the bank to open
[17:40]<+Mulreay> I can now explain the differnce between L1, L2 L3 cache and RAM... so this is what it feels like to know about computers
[17:40]<@BC_Programming> Mulreay: yes welcome
[17:40]<@BC_Programming> welcome to the club of... nerds I guess
[17:40]<+Mulreay> heh
[17:41]<@BC_Programming> you might not want to be here... and we fully realize that
[17:41]<+Mulreay> lol
[17:41]<@BC_Programming> I just typed "nerddom" and wondered if that was a kind of pornography
[17:41]<+Mulreay> It is strange that a memory would be labled over it's distance to the processor
[17:42]<@BC_Programming> It's not just physical distance, but also how far away logistically it has to go... L3 would of course be slowest mostly because by that time the processors already spent time checking L1 and L2 caches
[17:43]<@BC_Programming> or the chipset, or whatever the flip does that stuff
[17:43]<+Mulreay> yeah
[17:43]<@BC_Programming> L1 is right on the processor, it's like the waffle that the CPU doesn't want anybody else to see or taste
[17:43]<+Mulreay> heh
[17:44]<+Mulreay> Yeah L1 is in the processor, L2 is next to it and L3 is 'far' away
[17:44]<@BC_Programming> the lowly serfs that are adapter cards have to share the community plot known as System memory, the poor dears
[17:44]<+Mulreay> then you have RAM
[17:44]<@BC_Programming> except for graphics cards which sometimes bring their own box of waffles and never share
[17:44]<+Mulreay> heh
[17:45]<@BC_Programming> They go up to the CPU "hai, wassup, can I haz memory?"
[17:45]<@BC_Programming> and the cpu is all "sure, but you must answer these riddles three"
[17:45]<@BC_Programming> "No time for that, here I'll just take this 'ere system memory
[17:45]<+Mulreay> Yeah, was struggling to get my head around expansion cards and lanes etc
[17:46]<@BC_Programming> lanes?
[17:46]<@BC_Programming> probably PCI-E, I've never paid very close attention to a lot of the newer stuff
[17:46]<+Mulreay> Yeah, to do with pins on the card
[17:46]<+Mulreay> each pin is a lane
[17:46]<@BC_Programming> oh yeah that's PCI-E
[17:46]<+Mulreay> yeah
[17:47]<@BC_Programming> not to be confused with PCI-X of course
[17:47]<+Mulreay> Not heard of that
[17:47]<@BC_Programming> some weird server thing that expands PCI
[17:48]<@BC_Programming> basically the slot is a PCI slot with an extra tab on the end
[17:48]<+Mulreay> I thought that PCI-E took over everything PCI wise
[17:48]<@BC_Programming> it did
[17:48]<@BC_Programming> PCI-X is older
[17:48]<+Mulreay> ahh
[17:48]<@BC_Programming> things would have been more confusing if I had been the one to name them
[17:48]<+Mulreay> I bet
[17:49]<@BC_Programming> follow in apples footsteps, name everything after big cats
[17:49]<@BC_Programming> or Ubuntu linux's animal thing
[17:49]<@BC_Programming> "that's not an ISA card, it's a Constipated Koala card!"
[17:50]<+Mulreay> hahahaha
[17:50]<+Mulreay> I should of Lol'd as I was
[17:50]<@BC_Programming> "what do you mean PCI? This is a Diseased Dachshund card"
[17:50]<+Mulreay> lol
[17:51]<+Mulreay> Computer stuff is far to full of acronyms... I'm not a fan
[17:51]<@BC_Programming> PCI-E? pshaw... no it's "Gonadic Giraffe"
[17:51]<+Mulreay> lol
[17:52]<+Mulreay> Gondaric? That's new for me... checking
[17:52]<@BC_Programming> Gonadic
[17:52]<+Mulreay> yeah oopps
[17:53]<+Mulreay> nope, nothing on the OED
[17:53]<@BC_Programming> let's not forget Ecclesiastical Ewe
[17:53]<@BC_Programming> or Poopy Panda
[17:54]<+Mulreay> heh
[17:54]<@BC_Programming> B*tchy Bison
[17:54]<@BC_Programming> wasn't sure of chanbot would yell at me
[17:55]<+Mulreay> heh, yeah was almost going to say it myself to see
[17:55]<+Mulreay> bitchy
[17:55]<+Mulreay> safe
[17:55]<@BC_Programming> Linux Ubuntu 15 Phallic Pheasant
[17:55]<+Mulreay> lol
[17:56]<+Mulreay> I thought of a great idea for a channel on youtube... could be worth a duo
[17:56]<@BC_Programming> pugnacious Pony
[17:57]<@BC_Programming> that reminds me did you see that yogscast video where Simon plays that pony-raising game? That thing was awful
[17:57]<+Mulreay> Pony? Is that the one with Hannah?
[17:57]<@BC_Programming> nope, just Simon and Lewis
[17:57]<+Mulreay> mmm
[17:57]<+Mulreay> may be not
[17:58]<@BC_Programming> Simon is playing the game, showing Lewis
[17:58]<@BC_Programming> I'll get you the link
[17:58]<+Mulreay> cool
[17:58]<+Mulreay> Chances are I willhave seen it
[17:58]<@BC_Programming> http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0L9u0T0AQRI
[17:58]<+Mulreay> looking
[17:59]<@BC_Programming> "I need more aenus"
[18:01]<+Mulreay> Simon 100% carries the yogscast
[18:03]<@BC_Programming> I don't usually watch the ones where it's just one or the other honestly... I think that came up in my suggested thing and I was all OMFG Ponies
[18:04]<@BC_Programming> will probably watch some more of them one day though
[18:04]<+Mulreay> heh
[18:04]<@BC_Programming> I did watch some of the ones where they play Magic the Gathering
[18:05]<+Mulreay> Yeah me too, they were cool... we should try a game
[18:05]<@BC_Programming> I don't even really know how to play
[18:05]<@BC_Programming> well, anymore, not that I was ever any good
[18:06]<+Mulreay> Never played myself
[18:07]<+Mulreay> We need a game to play online
[18:08]<@BC_Programming> more like we need a game to play online your comp can handle, heh :P
[18:08]<+Mulreay> heh, very true
[18:09]<+Mulreay> I can play some awesome games.. but don't seem to be your thing
[18:10]<+Mulreay> I still think we should play Diablo II as this is one of the best loved RPG's on the planet
[18:10]<@BC_Programming> never played it, tbh
[18:12]<@BC_Programming> hmm I don't seem to be writing as much as I used to
[18:15]<+Mulreay> You should check it out
[18:15]<@BC_Programming> possibly... Anyway I should be going to bed
[18:16]<@BC_Programming> I should have gone to bed about 5 hours ago, really...
[18:16]<+Mulreay> goodnight
[18:16]<@BC_Programming> thx
[18:18]<@BC_Programming> there is one perk, even if my job otherwise sucks- free food :P
[18:18]<+Mulreay> heh, indeed
[18:19]<+Mulreay> When you get up there will be a new video fromme... it will get mixed results
[18:20]<+Mulreay> sleep well buddy
[18:21]<+Mulreay> Unless I make spooky noices
[18:21]<@BC_Programming> just copying the pony videos first
[18:21]<@BC_Programming> I have music from the show on my MP3 player... and epic remixes
[18:35]<+Mulreay> OK finished making the video... I do need to explain its stupid and a little sad
